Terms & Usage

• Each person may register only one SIM card and must be at least 18 years old.

• 4G SIM: Unlimited data with hotspot sharing allowed, including free access to CHT Wi-Fi hotspots.

• 5G SIM: Hotspot sharing is allowed with data limits based on the selected plan:

03 days: 3GB

05 days: 5GB

07 days: 7GB

10 days: 10GB

15 days: 15GB

30 days: 30GB

Free access to CHT Wi-Fi hotspots is also included.

• Within the validity period, call credit top-ups can be made at convenience stores across Taiwan such as 7-Eleven and FamilyMart (minimum top-up amount: NT$300). Any unused top-up balance will not be refunded after expiry. Once activated, the SIM card cannot be extended or reused.

• To collect the SIM card, please present your order confirmation, KYC pre-registration QR code, and passport at the counter.

• Collection must be done in person by the registered user. Proxy collection is not allowed.

• To ensure normal voice call services (including emergency numbers 110, 119, and 112), please ensure your mobile device supports VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and that the function is enabled. For more details, please refer to the Chunghwa Telecom VoLTE information page.

Terms and Conditions

  • The QR Code for an eSIM is only valid for 60 days from the date of purchase.
  • Once the limit for High-speed data use has been reached, the Internet speed will be reduced to 128kbps.
  • Strictly no refund once the QR code has been sent out.

 How to track your data usage:

  • Key in your Travel eSIM ICCID number & click submit.
    (The number can be found under your eSIM QR code.)

*IMPORTANT NOTE: 

  • The eSIM QR code can only be scanned once.
  • The eSIM cannot be added back to your mobile device, once it is removed.

 

How to activate your Changi Travel eSIM

*Steps may differ from guides, depending on your mobile model.

 

General setup guide for Travel eSIMs

  1. Go to your mobile "Settings"
  2. Click on "SIM card Manager/Cellular"
  3. Click on "Add Mobile Plan / Add eSIM"
  4. Scan the QR Code from your device/computer or another device's screen.
  5. Upon arriving at your destination, please turn on 'Data Roaming' & turn off your local telco SIM (to avoid telco's roaming charges) - switch to Travel eSIM for data usage.

APN Settings

For Android Devices:

  1. Go to:Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Network > Access Point Names

  2. Tap "Create New APN"

  3. Enter the following:

    • Name: internet

    • APN: internet

  4. Tap Save

  5. Go back and select the newly created APN - internet

  6. Ensure Mobile Data and Data Roaming are switched ON

For iPhone / iPad:

  1. Go to:
    Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network

  2. In the APN field, enter: internet

  3. Go back and make sure both Mobile Data and Data Roaming are switched ON.
